I’ve gained seven pounds of weight. ¡Qué increíble! :(

So this article is about doing sports? Muscle?

No no no…of course no

Before reading, I hope you’re not hungry now. But if the following contents make you hungry, then open the refrigerator and try to get some food hahaha 🙂

Unfortunately, I have gained seven pounds of weight based on the number from a body-check report that I received at the end of June. What I could do now is going to the fitness room and sweating. The things that make you feel happy momently, but make you miserable after a month.

Thai is a wonderful place to relax, more specifically, being fatter. Girls…

Here is my recommendation lists of restaurants in Chiang Mai. Surely you won’t regret if you trust me.

1. Lemon Tree (Huaykaew)

Typical Thai cuisines, Tom Yam Kung is the best as the chef added fresh coconut meat which made the soup more fresh and sweet. Better use cash, but 500baht+ is allowed to use Alipay. Another dish with good taste is yellow curry crab meat.

2. Alice’s Restaurant

Green curry with vegetables

Fried Wonton with shrimps, sweet and spicy sauce

The best-looking mango sticky rice dessert and it charges for 90 baht. Not expensive, they will provide you with discount when you pay for the bill, cut the change. The only thing is that there are not too Kay seats for customers so waiting is needed for peak hours.

3. Woo Cafe & Art Gallery

It’s a combination of cafe, restaurant, flower shop, cake and artworks gallery. It’s on the right side of Chiang Mai river. Good place to spend time there, with AC, WiFi and good smell.

North Thai noodles, with some snacks. Curry taste is super strong.

They have homemade cookies for sale. And they have a flower shop inside, they put the cakes in glass containers for display.

Coconut pie dessert with fresh coconut meat inside.

4. Fern Forest Café

This cafe is like a secret garden. Not only Chinese, but also crowded with Koreans. They kept big carps which were treated as a symbol of good luck in a cramped pond, the fish seemed uncomfortable in it.

This is a typical Thai drink called blue butterfly lemon juice. It’s nature color and the drink will change to purple liquid with sour lemon juice.

Classic Club Sandwich (from Grab)

5. Blue noodle shop

Well, seafood, pork and chicken are common, whereas, beef is less used or cooking. I have never seen curry beef on the menu. So if you want try beef, here beef noodle is a good choice. You can choose the noodle, they have three or four types of noodles. But the taste is little bit salty for me, though beef is soft and waxy.

6. The volcano

It’s a popular snack store, cheese toast, sweet toast, hot/cold drinks… (ordered from Grab) Super cheese toast is fantastic.

Half honey black tea and a whole cup of ice.

7. ChaTraMue

Interestingly, I found that there opens a new store in Shenzhen. Hopefully, this brand will enter in more cities soon. Classic Thai Tea with green bubbles, Thai Tea ice cream, rose flower tea…all nice!

8. Chiang Mai Breakfast World

They offer a variety of brunches, and you can pick what you like. It’s just that the restaurant is in the open air, there were lots of mosquitoes, and then there were also pigeons in the garden… I am a person who is afraid of chickens and pigeons. I was super worried that pigeons would fly to my table when I was eating.

And I don’t like someone staring at me when I was eating. But a monkey…

9. Postbox cuisine

The store is very small and attached to a luxury SPA. The young waiter spoke Chinese well. Even though there were a lot of Chinese customers, I was still surprised… The food ingredients and service are both worthy of praise. Fried pineapple rice, green vegetables with shrimps, fried chopped pork rice with egg, steamed seafood…

The dessert is not so ideal, too sweet for me.

10. Fruiturday Shake & Smoothie

A chain dessert shop, the same as “Mango Tango”.

Coconut pudding 🙂 🙂

11. Grazie thai local food

It’s a cheap restaurant the same as Chinese gears. You can find several parallel similar restaurants there. I went there for twice, the taste is typical though it was owned by a Chinese family. You can use Alipay there.

Another reason to visit is the cheapest coconut. A big cold fresh coconut is only 30 baht, in night market you have to pay 50-70 baht. In this restaurant, they will serve you open coconut with a big hole, and then it’s easily to eat the soft white meat with spoon. Their iron spoons are perfect for scraping coconut meat.

The most respectful way to treat a coconut.

12. Aroon (Rai) Restaurant

Yes, it’s also a cheap restaurant but has great dishes. I didn’t eat there but I passed by for many times. It’s close to my workplace.

Broccoli with fried fish and Pad Thai. And this is the Thailand way to package food. Whether it is hot food or fresh fruit, they like to use transparent plastic bags, I don’t think they wash them before using.

13. AKHA AMA COFFEE

This is a coffee shop run by several young people who sell local coffee beans from farmlands in northern Thai. No dessert, just coffee. There were many people in the shop in a hot afternoon, I tasted a coffee that the taste was mellow.

14. Zood Zood

Several university students run the restaurant. It has two floors. Seems well-organized there, I tried fried fish with herbs, super delicious.

15. Ginger Farm kitchen

This restaurant is decorated with real green plants and flowers. I noticed that their plates are different, good looking.

You can find this kind of rice in the supermarket and cook by yourself. I bought a small package and bring it home for my mom.

This hot pork salad looked colorful but the taste is difficult to describe. The base is eggplant. You know it’s funny when you’re eating while crying, in particular you’re alone. That would be misleading… It was super sour and spicy… I must hold back my tears.

16. Jaidee Bamboo Huts

This is not a stand-alone restaurant, just a hotel kitchen, but it also welcomes visitors from outside.

Crazy about pork minced with basil leaves. Although I don’t like pork in China, braised pork in yellow bean sauce or double-fried pork are not my tastes. Then I decided to cook this dish at home so I bought some special sauces in the Thai supermarket.

Dishes had no problem, but the hot latte was bad… hard to drink, yeh…hard.

Especially envy those girls who don’t get fat whatever they eat.

Hate people who discriminate or make fun of fat girls.

Can’t understand those girls who give up normal meals for their figures.

But do believe that I would never give up trying something delicious…though my mom usually says “you’re too fat” :<

All right, 2 pm., time for sports!
