Shanghai, China——Romantic French Footprint and Creative Spicy Dishes

A French friend’s fiancee is from Shanghai, but he didn’t get a chance to go sightseeing around the city last time when he was in China. I was free that day, so I went out with my camera to take some pictures of the French concession and share with him later.

思南公馆-宴会厅

As the visiting card of Shanghai, Sinan Residence Area is one of the pilot projects of preservation, protection and reconstruction of Shanghai’s historical and cultural features and outstanding historical buildings. It is an important part of Hengshan Road – Fuxing Zhong Road historical and cultural features and one of the most concentrated areas of independent garden houses in the central Shanghai.

The outlook of these apartments is very similar to the buildings on the streets of Paris. My French friend also said it’s similar.

Warm-tip

Now this area has been a police office and is not accessible to visit.

The facade was obviously renovated, but they kept the arch.

Buttonwood

As is known to all, the housing price in Shanghai is extremely expensive. These neighborhoods looks shabby, but in fact the small-scale houses are super expensive. Can’t afford it so far 😦

I met a group of people were making a video in Tianzi Fang.
Tianzi Fang is similar as the West Street of Yangshuo, Nantang Old Street, Pingjiang Road in Suzhou… commercials. And some bars here are nice and well-decorated. Surely popular with foreigners.
Located in Huaihai Road, a memorial hall of the communist party of China.
Pepper chicken with bamboo shoots

Boiling fish in hot chili oil
Cold dish of three colors
Purple potato, yam, egg yolk molecule
Black truffle pumpkin cream soup
Orange ice-cream dessert
Sichuan Dandan Noodles

It’s a restaurant called “映水芙蓉” in Huaihai Road.

Pics from Pudong International Airport ——

Amazing sunset took two mins early before I boarded.

A memory of summer time in 2019. 🙂
